Overview
Terminal Operating System (TOS) is a real-time operations platform for container terminals — one console for berth planning, yard allocation, vessel stowage, gang scheduling, equipment dispatch and KPI reporting. The same data feeds the gate, the QC operator's HUD, the stevedore's tablet and the customer-facing track-and-trace portal.
Built for small-to-mid terminals (200,000-1,500,000 TEU/yr) that want a modern, cloud-native alternative to legacy mainframe TOS — with native AIS, EDI, VBS, gate-OCR and reefer-monitoring connectors out of the box.

How It Works
- TOS dashboard — a live yard map (blocks A-F with reefer rows highlighted), 72-hour berth timeline with vessel names and lay-times, KPI tiles (vessels, gangs, moves/hr, yard utilisation) and an equipment-status grid (QC / RTG / yard tractor / reach-stacker).
- Planning engine — vessel stow plan with destination-port colour coding, gang assignment for the next 4 hours, an OR-tools solver running yard allocation + stowage + gang plan, and live AIS for inbound vessels.
- Real-time cloud — aggregates KPIs across multiple terminals, tracks the daily move count, exposes the data to BI tools, and runs AI anomaly detection (berth conflict, gang imbalance, dwell drift).
- Field roles — QC operator HUD with voice prompt for PICK / PLACE, stevedore tablet, gate clerk console, and planner workstation — all synced live via EDI and VBS.
The purple feedback loop carries field updates, replans and KPI fine-tuning back into the planning engine.
