Smart Global Tech Systems Limited (trading as “SGT Systems Limited”) is a Bangladesh-registered B2B technology consultancy specialising in industrial IoT, automation and integration services. We respect the privacy of our clients, prospective clients, suppliers, employees and website visitors and are committed to handling personal information lawfully, fairly and transparently.

This Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, the parties with whom we share it, the safeguards we apply, and the rights you have under applicable Bangladesh law, including the Information & Communication Technology Act, 2006 and the Digital Security Act, 2018.

We collect only what we need to operate as a B2B consultancy and to serve you properly. Categories include:

• Account information — name, designation, company, work email, business phone and (where you provide them) postal address and Trade Licence / BIN / TIN for invoicing.
• Inquiry & project data — technical specifications, drawings, site photos, scope documents and other materials you share when requesting a quote or executing a project.
• Communication records — emails, WhatsApp messages, call notes, meeting minutes and support tickets exchanged with our team.
• Payment information — bank account or mobile financial service details limited to processing invoices. We do not store full card numbers; card payments (if any) are handled by licensed payment gateways.
• Technical & usage data — IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referrer URL and timestamps collected via standard web logs.
• Cookies & analytics — see Section 7.

We process personal information for the following purposes, each grounded in legitimate business interest, contract performance, your consent or legal obligation:

• Responding to inquiries, preparing technical proposals and issuing quotations.
• Delivering contracted services — design, supply, integration, commissioning, training and maintenance.
• Project communication, scheduling site visits and coordinating with sub-contractors and OEMs.
• Invoicing, payment reconciliation, tax filing and statutory reporting.
• Improving our website, security monitoring and fraud prevention.
• Sending occasional service updates or relevant technical bulletins (you may unsubscribe at any time).
• Complying with applicable laws, court orders and lawful requests from regulators.

We share limited information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed:

• Service providers — cloud hosting (Bangladesh-region servers), email, accounting software, courier and logistics partners, all bound by confidentiality.
• Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) — where warranty registration or technical support requires it, and only with your knowledge.
• Sub-contractors — engaged on specific project scopes under written non-disclosure obligations.
• Legal & regulatory authorities — where we are compelled by court order, statute, or a documented lawful request.
• Business transfers — in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may transfer to the acquiring entity subject to equivalent protection.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, plus any period required by Bangladesh tax, audit or statutory obligations.

After the retention period we either securely delete the data or anonymise it for statistical purposes.

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may exercise the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Erasure — request deletion, subject to our legal retention duties.
• Data portability — receive a structured, commonly used, machine-readable export.
• Withdraw consent — for any processing based on your consent, at any time.
• Object & restrict — ask us to limit or stop certain processing.
• Complain — lodge a grievance with our Data Protection Officer or with the competent Bangladeshi authority.

We use a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies:

• Strictly necessary cookies — session, CSRF and login cookies required for the site to function.
• Analytics cookies — first-party or privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
• Preference cookies — remember language and display choices.

We do not serve third-party advertising and we do not engage in cross-site behavioural tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work as expected.

Our services are intended exclusively for businesses and adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

Our primary production data is hosted on servers located in Bangladesh-region data centres. Where we use international cloud services (for example, email, document collaboration or OEM warranty portals), those providers are contractually bound to apply security and confidentiality standards equivalent to those described in this policy.

We review this policy at least annually and may update it to reflect new services, changes in law or operational improvements. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised version number and effective date. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
