Overview

SGT Systems Limited's Fleet & Transportation telematics catalogue equips logistics operators, distribution fleets, ride-hail networks, cold-chain carriers and corporate transport managers with the hardware and software they need to run a measurably safer, more fuel-efficient and more customer-responsive vehicle operation. The catalogue currently contains 10 production SKUs, ranging from compact OBD-II plug-and-play trackers up to multi-input fleet telematics gateways with driver-behaviour analytics and live video.

The Bangladeshi commercial vehicle population is growing, fuel prices are volatile, and corporate buyers are increasingly held accountable for road-safety statistics and ESG-style reporting. The combination has made fleet telematics one of the fastest-growing segments in our business. Our products are designed and supported locally, integrate with the BRTA-compliant geofencing requirements where relevant, and ship with a cloud platform that handles the operational realities of South-Asian fleet management — such as informal driver schedules, dynamic route changes and patchy 4G coverage on rural highways.

The product family supports four classes of customer: small fleets (10–100 vehicles) that buy turnkey plug-and-play solutions and a per-vehicle monthly subscription; mid-sized fleets (100–1000 vehicles) that want richer behaviour, fuel and maintenance analytics; large enterprise fleets that need integration with their TMS / ERP and full API access; and OEMs / system integrators who white-label our hardware and platform.

This document is the overview reference. Each individual SKU has its own datasheet with wiring diagrams, CAN parameter tables and approval certificates.

Each vehicle is fitted with a tracker or a multi-input gateway. The device collects GNSS, ignition, harsh-driving events and (on gateways) CAN parameters and connected-sensor data, buffers them on-board if coverage is lost, and streams them to SGT Fleet Cloud over a TLS-protected TCP / MQTT channel. The cloud platform turns raw events into the dashboards, alerts and reports needed by dispatch, safety and finance teams — and exposes the same data via REST and webhook to the customer's TMS, ERP or BI tooling.

Industries we serve in this category

  • Distribution and FMCG fleets: route adherence, customer ETA, proof-of-delivery integration
  • Cold-chain and pharma logistics: audit-grade temperature logging, deviation alerts, compliance reporting
  • Construction and yellow-goods fleets: idle-time analytics, geofence utilisation, fuel-theft detection
  • Bus and staff transport operators: driver-behaviour scoring, schedule adherence, passenger-safety alerts
  • Container haulage and trucking: container-id integration with port gates, fuel and tyre cost analytics
  • Ride-hail and corporate sedans: driver mobile app, panic button, geofence-based dispatch

Customisation & OEM

Common fleet customisations include private-labelled mobile and web dashboards, custom alert workflows (e.g. SMS to the dispatcher plus push to the customer), bespoke vehicle-bus parameter mappings for non-standard OEMs, integration with the customer's existing TMS / ERP, and hardware variants for non-standard mounting (motorcycle, marine, generator-set). For OEM partners we offer hardware private-labelling with custom housings and a multi-tenant cloud instance under the partner's brand.

Ordering & logistics

  • Lead times: standard plug-in and hardwired trackers in stock; fleet gateways 2 weeks; ADAS / dashcam SKUs 3–4 weeks
  • MOQ: 1 unit for evaluation; 10+ for fleet pricing; 50+ for project pricing
  • Warranty: 12-month hardware warranty; SIM and cloud subscription bundled separately per vehicle per month
  • Installation: nationwide installer network for Bangladesh; partner installation for regional South Asia
  • Cloud subscription: monthly or annual per-vehicle billing; volume discounts; private-cloud / on-prem options for enterprise

Support & documentation

Fleet support is delivered through a tiered model: small fleets get cloud-based self-service plus standard 9-to-6 email/phone support; enterprise customers get a named account manager, 24/7 hotline, periodic firmware updates managed during planned maintenance windows, and quarterly business reviews that benchmark the fleet's safety and fuel-efficiency KPIs. We provide free driver-onboarding videos in Bangla and English, fleet-administrator training (online or on-site), and a developer portal for customers building bespoke integrations.

Reference deployments and outcomes

SGT Fleet & Transportation products are in service with distribution fleets, cold-chain carriers, staff-transport operators and ride-hail networks across Bangladesh. A typical 200-vehicle distribution fleet sees fuel-cost reductions in the 8–15 % range within the first six months — a combination of route adherence, idle-time reduction and the deterrent effect of visible monitoring on driver behaviour. A typical 30-vehicle cold-chain fleet uses our temperature loggers to produce audit-grade reports for each shipment, eliminating disputes with pharma customers and supporting the carrier's bid for higher-value contracts. A typical staff-transport operator uses driver-behaviour scoring to drive monthly bonus / penalty calculations, reducing harsh-braking events by more than 60 % within a single quarter.

For all of these customers the operational ROI is measurable, but the strategic value is bigger: telematics gives the operator the data foundation to bid on contracts (such as multi-national logistics or pharma) that they previously could not credibly serve.

Driver experience and acceptance

Telematics succeeds or fails on driver acceptance. A tracker that drivers actively work around (unplugging, shielding, sharing tag cards) delivers no value. SGT designs the driver experience deliberately: the in-vehicle device is unobtrusive, the driver mobile app gives drivers visibility into their own scores and earnings, recognition leagues and shift bonuses are configurable, and the device itself runs in the background without distracting the driver. For ADAS / dashcam SKUs, we provide opt-in dashboards where drivers can review their own clips and trends — turning the camera from a surveillance tool into a coaching tool.

We also work with fleet HR teams to design fair, transparent KPI structures during onboarding, because telematics without a fair incentive structure breeds resentment rather than performance.

Cybersecurity

Each device authenticates to the cloud platform with a unique per-device certificate; there are no shared passwords. The cloud platform itself is hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure with audited access controls, role-based permissions for fleet administrators, and full audit trails of every administrative action. Vehicle-bus communication is strictly read-only by default — the device does not write to the CAN bus and cannot remotely disable the vehicle unless the customer specifically requests and signs off on an immobilizer-output integration.

Frequently asked questions

Will the tracker void my vehicle warranty?

Hardwired installs use non-invasive splice connectors and are performed by trained installers. We have OEM approval letters for several major commercial vehicle brands; for ride-hail and light-vehicle customers we recommend the OBD-II plug-in tracker, which leaves no permanent installation.

What if the vehicle drives outside cellular coverage?

All trackers buffer telemetry locally and upload in chronological order once coverage is restored. Original event timestamps are preserved.

Can I integrate the data into my own TMS / ERP?

Yes — through our REST API, webhook notifications, or scheduled CSV exports. Reference integrations exist for common TMS platforms used in Bangladesh and the wider region.

Can the device be tampered with?

The device generates tamper alerts on main-power disconnect, accelerometer-detected removal, and SIM removal. For high-security fleets we offer a fully sealed install behind the vehicle's dashboard with a hidden antenna.
