Overview

Connected Worker Safety is a wearable safety system for stevedores, lashers, mechanics and any worker on the port apron. A chest-harness or helmet-mounted device streams vitals, GPS and accelerometer data, runs fall-detection and proximity algorithms on-edge, and pages medics and supervisors the moment something goes wrong.

Built for ports, terminals, refineries, shipyards and construction sites that need to slash TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate), prove ISO 45001 compliance, and bring rescue time on a fallen-worker incident down from minutes to seconds.

How It Works

  1. Worker wearable — a chest-harness device (or helmet sensor) carries GPS / RTK, 3-axis accelerometer, PPG heart-rate, skin-temp, optional gas head, SOS button, status LEDs and a 16-hour battery. Hi-vis vest and hardhat RFID tags confirm PPE compliance.
  2. Safety algorithms — on-edge models run fall-detection (signature in the accel trace), proximity logic (distance to crane / yard-tractor geofence), heat-stress prediction (HR + body temp), and gas-STEL evaluation. The trigger library is configurable per shift / zone.
  3. Safety cloud — aggregates the fleet, plots 12-week incident trend, tracks TRIR / LTI / dwell, and produces ISO 45001 audit-ready evidence.
  4. Officer response — medic, supervisor and HSE officer get a colour-coded SOS card on their phone with one-tap EN ROUTE / CALL, a fleet ticker, and a 144-worker safety roll-up.

The purple feedback loop pushes acknowledgements, rescue-en-route confirmations and zone evacuations back to every wearable.
