Smart Refrigerator is a connected fridge with an inside camera, AI-driven inventory recognition, expiry tracking, recipe suggestions from what you have, and a shared family shopping list — so food doesn't get forgotten at the back of the shelf and the weekly shop builds itself.

Built for households who hate food waste and last-minute grocery dashes. An inside-door camera scans every time you close the door, recognises 200+ common items, and tracks freshness windows. When something is about to expire, the app suggests a recipe that uses it. The family shopping list updates from anyone's phone or by voice, and integrates with Instacart / Walmart for one-tap reorder.

How It Works

The fridge — French-door or side-by-side — holds a precise 3 °C fridge and -18 °C freezer with an inverter compressor. An inside-door camera and shelf-edge sensors capture every item on every shelf.
Vision & expiry — onboard AI classifies each item, looks up freshness windows, and flags anything about to expire. A live recipe engine suggests dishes that consume the at-risk items first.
Cloud analytics — 24-hour temp trend, door-open counts, energy per day, water filter life, and food-waste-avoided KPI tracked month-over-month.
Family & shopping list — all family members add items by voice or app. List syncs to Instacart, Walmart, or any partner grocer for delivery.

A feedback loop pulls restock triggers, recipe preferences, and OTA firmware back to the fridge — the green stream along the bottom of the diagram.
