Overview

Smart Robot Vacuum & Mop is an autonomous floor-cleaning robot that maps your home with LiDAR, navigates multi-room layouts, avoids no-go zones, and returns to a self-emptying dock — combining vacuuming and mopping in a single pass with app, voice, and schedule control.

Built for busy households, pet owners, and anyone who wants daily floor hygiene without lifting a finger. The LiDAR turret builds a centimetre-accurate floor plan on the first run, lets you draw virtual walls and no-go zones on the app, and remembers which rooms have carpet so suction is boosted automatically. The auto-empty dock holds up to 60 days of debris so the bin only needs attention once a month.

How It Works

The robot sweeps the room in a methodical pattern. The LiDAR turret spins 5 Hz, a downward cliff sensor stops it at stairs, and side brushes flick debris into the main brush channel for the suction motor.
SLAM mapping stitches every LiDAR sweep into a live floor plan. Rooms are auto-detected, carpet vs. hard floor is classified, and the path planner runs a zig-zag for full coverage with edge-following on walls.
Cloud dashboard stores cleaning history, per-room coverage, filter life, and battery health. You can replay any past clean, view heat-maps of dirty zones, and schedule recurring cleans by room.
Family & voice — anyone in the household can say "Alexa, vacuum the kitchen" or tap a one-button clean from the app. Pet mode boosts suction; quiet hours suppress overnight cleans.

A feedback loop pushes new no-go zones, schedule changes, and OTA firmware updates back to the robot — visible as the pink stream along the bottom of the diagram.
